Ramakrishna Seva Mandal, Mandvi, a branch centre of Gujarat Ramakrishna Vivekananda Bhav Prachar Parishad, have launched a project titled ‘Prabuddha Kutch’. The Project is to adopt 100 schools, with priority to remote locations within Kutch and offer them comprehensive support in a holistic manner to uplift and improve the levels of education on the surface and eventually make the future generation better social beings and citizens of the Country.
Ramakrishna Mission, founded by none other than Swami Vivekananda more than a century ago, has a proven track record of offering quality educational support throughout the Country and beyond. With an ever-growing numbers of schools, colleges, university, skills training centres, centres for human excellences and so on, the Organisation firmly believes that education for the masses is the only way to uplift this vast country and more than that to restore the former glory that India had. In the very words of Swami Vivekananda, “If the poor cannot come to education, education must reach them at the plough, in the factory and everywhere”.
After much thought and field research, we have come to the realisation that education in Kutch, the largest district of India, has many fold challenges. To overcome the Challenges, all sections of the society will have to play their parts. As a sustainable solution, we have adopted a five layered plan to bring about palpable change in the realm of education in Kutch with a minimum commitment for a decade.
